I have a HP Specte x360 (13-4105DX) that the battery recently started to swell up.  In a matter of days the touchpad is barely working and keyboard starting to act up.  Battery test shows good but I am concerned it's becoming dangerous and will damage laptop beyond repair.  Has there been a recall on this battery problem?  how do I find out coverage?  What battery do I need to get if I need to replace myself?  I've read the PX03XL is the correct battery but not sure, there are so many on the market, cheap and expensive one, all say they fit.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.  Thanks

Hi @yupallnite2

Is your notebook still within the one year warranty coverage period?

Open a case about the swelling battery by clicking on the link below this line. Enter the information as requested.

A swelling battery will indeed damage your notebook's enclosure, keyboard and touchpad. It could also be dangerous. It is recommended that you discontinue use of the notebook.

Here is a link to HP's statement regarding a swelling battery.

I will find a source for the replacement battery and put it here in your thread in a few moments.
