Hey there, 

 

I am having an issue with my HP Spectre x360 15-ch011dx that I bought about two and a half years ago. The battery (928372-855) has swollen so much that it partially bust through the back case. I guess I missed the previous signs because I just came out to find it like that one day. I obviously stopped using it immediately and have been using my phone to look for a solution ever since. From the looks of what I can find online, this is a super common issue for this model. Like I found dozens of theads with hundreds of replies. This is a known defect in the battery but HP hasn’t done anything. They do not even sell the replacement battery anymore, so people have to buy counterfeit batteries that come with their own problems. I am feeling incredibly frustrated. My product is out of warranty now so HP doesn’t even give mean option to speak to a representatives. This laptop was $1500, it should last me far longer than 2 years. I really don’t want to have to buy a third party battery and deal with the side effects. Has anyone had any help from HP with this issue??

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE!!  I am now noticing that my HP Spectre x360 - 15-ch011dx case is bulging so much due to the swollen battery!  I would like immediate response from HP on how to resolve this issue.  The laptop is only 2 years old and extremely expensive.  Please contact me ASAP to resolve.
