HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-df0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The maintenance and service manual for HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-df0xxx states that the RAM is upgradeable but in fact it is not. The RAM looks like its soldered onto the motherboard. Can somebody confirm this for HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-df0xxx models?

Hi

Page 33  of this  http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06162318 ??

shows a removable module.

So can you specify your model and perhaps post a picture?

Hi,

Yes. The memory is onboard (soldered to the motherboard) and is not upgradable. You do not give the exact model number. However, it will be the same for whole15-df0000 series. So if, for example, we look at the spec page 15-df0001nv we can see that it is stated that the RAM is onboard:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-spectre-15-df0000-x360-convertible-pc/23238160/document/c062...

I will let the support team know about the mistake in the service manual.

Hope it helps,

David

This is unfortunate, I should have one more research but I purchased the 16 Gb model assuming if need be I could upgrade to 32.
