Need Help !!!!!
My HP Spectre X360 frame is completely bent. The keyboard is deformed and the touchpad doesnt work.
Seems like the battery expanding issue that lot of others have complained. I bought it 2017-2018. But this certainly looks to be a faulty battery design and should have been part of service recall at the least.
I fear that this battery might be a fire hazard and leave it powered off when unattended.

The greater danger to leaving the battery in the computer is that it might damage other components as they are shoved out of the way of the inflating battery.
Waiting for HP to solve the problem for you is your option - there might not be much to save if the computer stops working and / or suffers other damage.
What?
The battery will fail.
Keep all your backups current >> save the backups on OTHER than the computer.
The solution the Community can offer is that you replace the battery.
We can offer information and guidance to that end.
If you cannot do the job yourself for any reason, a competent computer technician can complete the task for you.
No, not free - and certainly not as expensive as can be other types of repair.

"Fat" Battery / Bloated Battery / Swollen Battery – Sealed / Internal Battery
- Swollen battery might be hiding OR there might be evidence that the battery has inflated. For example, notebook case is warped, touchpad stops working, “odd” bulging near the keyboard.
- If the battery is in a swollen or bloated condition, the battery must be removed from the computer and replaced. There are no other remedies, tests, or useful options.
