HP Spectre x360 13"
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have HP Spectre x360 13" with battery categorized as long-life/non-removable battery with 1000cycles. My question is, is it okay to plug the laptop to a wall charger while using it throughout the day while using it at the same time? Is it good or bad for the battery life span?

Thanks.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Laptop battery drains to 0% while powered off – This is a fairly common problem, and it's usually caused by the Connected Standby feature.
Leaving your laptop plugged in will not cause short term damage, but if you only ever use it on AC power you'll almost certainly find that after a year the battery's capacity has been significantly reduced. Similarly, if you only ever use it on battery power you'll get through the battery's discharge cycles quicker.
