The space bar had developed issues a year or two ago but I adjusted to live with it unless you pressed in just the right spot, considering how rarely I used it. But now the bottom of the laptop is severely bowed in the case a good 1/4" or more has separated it from the main laptop in the middle. Is this the recall worth battery buldge? Is it a fire hazard? I should add that for a long time the case was extremely hot....

To protect your hardware from potential damage, HP recommends that if you are experiencing battery swelling, discontinue the use of the notebook until you can replace the battery.
