In the HP P C hardware diagnostic utility ther are component tests and system tests.

Power on the notebook and immediately start tapping the F2 key to invoke the diagnostic utility.  Chose the specific tests from that point.

How should I share the results of the tests with you? I was able to power up and hit f2 and complete all the tests you mentioned. I saved the test logs, but I don't know how to share them with you.

What were the results of each specific test?

Now on top of the battery trouble, my computer keyboard and touch pad are no longer working. Maybe it thinks I am in tablet mode, but I cannot toggle it off like many forums say.

@Izbiz

Thanks for keeping us posted.

Were there any recent updates on your Notebook?

I suggest you run the HP Support Assistant and it will automatically look for all the latest drivers for your Notebook and that might resolve the issue.

Please ensure you have the latest version of HPSA. If you don't, you can download the latest version from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

If the issue persists, please perform a System Restore to an earlier time before the issue started

- Select the Start button, type control panel and then choose it from the list of results.
- Search Control Panel for Recovery.
- Select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.
- Choose the restore point prior to the start of the issue and then select Next > Finish.

Let me know how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend 😊

Hi IzBiz, I'm having the same trouble. Have you had any success?
