Hello, I have the HP Spectre x360 15 Vega model and I am very happy with it but the keyboard, specifically the 7 key on the number row makes this 'pop' noise whenever I bottom out the key, like the dome underneath gets stuck momentarily. I tested and none of my other keys do this and all the rest sound the exact same. I do not hammer my keys so I do not think it is broken and the key still works, it just makes a weird pop noise. Any idea what it could be and how to fix it?

Hi! @Alex141, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand the keyboard is making a popping noise when pressing the number 7 key on the PC.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.
This may happen if Filter Keys are on.
Open Control Panel > Ease of Access\Ease of Access Center > Make the keyboard easier to use
Here scroll down to "Turn on Filter Keys" option
De-select "Turn on Filter Keys"
Select the "Apply" button and "OK"
If the issue still persists after trying out the steps. It is a hardware issue with the PC.

Hello, I have not made any changes to the laptop, it is still running all stock from HP, same OS, same hardware, everything. The filter keys that was recommended did nothing, so per yourcurrent diagnosis, it is a hardware issue. My product number is 2FW62AV
