My Spectre x360 laptop just stops charging all of a sudden. My laptop had been running for a good 2 years without any issue. I was not doing windows update or any software update in particular when the problem occurred.
In this forum, I see many users reporting the same exact complaint, but i don’t see HP admin providing any solution on the thread. So I decided to open my own thread in hope that I can get some answers. Below are some of the steps that I have already attempted but did not fix the issue:
1. Ran system diagnostic on the battery, result is PASSED.
2. Purchased a new AC adapter but it did not fix the issue.
3. Purchased and replaced new battery, it did not resolved the issue either. But my laptop was able to run for a period of time with the supplied charge from the new battery.
4. Downloaded the latest BIOS, but did not get the opportunity to install it as my laptop ran out of battery. The laptop is now completely dead.

There is nothing much we can do. It looks like the DC charging port has gone faulty on your laptop.
