HP Spectre x360 touch screen stopped working, worked perfectly fine before my last update. Afterwards I did a hard reset and uninstalled and disabled the disk multiple times. The computer still works fine but my touch screen doesn't work. Do I have to take the computer to get fixed or is it fixable at home

@Lexxi03, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Spectre x360 touch screen stopped working after an update, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to try and resolve the issue:

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure that your operating system is fully updated. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

Reinstall Touch Screen Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting it.
  • Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
  • Look for a device called HID-compliant touch screen.
  • Right-click on it and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your computer which will reinstall the driver automatically.

Calibrate the Touch Screen:

  • Open the Control Panel and search for "calibrate".
  • Click on Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your touch screen.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
