HP Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

When using the mouse on my Spectre I am experiencing a lot of input delay when using the mouse. Usually when  I turn the computer on the mouse is very accurate and fast. After using it for 10-20 minutes the mouse will randomly become very delayed and inaccurate. It sometimes happens faster and sometimes slower and I have noticed occasionally if the laptop goes into sleep when I come to use it again the mouse will be delayed and inaccurate.

I am running the latest version of windows and there are no updates available in the HP support assistant. I have also uninstalled the driver for the touchpad twice now and it hasn't fixed the problem.

I also have noticed that when the mouse isn't working correctly the computer seems to be running a lot slower than it usually does. Right clicking on the desktop takes a very long time (it took over 10 seconds to load the right click on 2 occasions)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂

@Brian168,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the touchpad on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you run a test on the computer to make sure that it is not a hardware issue.

Follow the steps in the below article to run the system test.

If the test pass, then I recommend you perform a system restore back to the date when everything was working fine. Follow the steps in the below article to perform a system restore.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
