To simplify, I have not used the laptop in a couple of weeks, went to turn it on yesterday, nothing, let it charge overnight, nothing. There is no orange light that usually indicates it's charging, I'm checking both USBC ports and nothing is working. I am very annoyed, this laptop is only a few years old.

I happen to own the very same notebook. I had to replace the battery two weeks ago.
The power problem with yours could be a a few things.
1) The notebook should still power on even if the battery has failed.
Since there is no power/charge LED lit when you plug in the power adapter, the power adapter could have failed. That is the first thing to check. A multimeter is not a sufficient tool to check the power adapter. It may be putting out sufficient voltage but almost no current under load.
2) The charging circuit on the system board could have a failed component.
I suggest trying the power adapter with a device that needs a USB Type-C power to charge its battery.
I can charge my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 smartphone with my notebook's power adapter.
Kindly keep me in the loop by letting me know the result of the power adapter test.
