Common problems for Battery

HP Star Wars Special Edition
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My battery is no longer charging, of course started having this problem 2 weeks after the warranty expired.

I have tried all of the solutions found in the forum, and nothing works.

I have also searched for the battery in the HP Store to see how much it would be to replace it, and I can't find it.  I find it interesting that this battery is not available for purchase from HP.  Is this battery that bad?

I can't believe that HP would put out a product that would crap out after a year.  I have never had a laptop battery die in such a short period of time.  I guess I will have to try to find an alternate source.

What is the complete product number or product name for your PC?

Currently, you have only identified it as a verion of a laptop.

Is this it?

The replacement battery for the HP 15-an50nr (HP Star Wars Special Edition)   is at Amazon.com for less than $40.00 USD.

This is the version of Star Wars Special Edition Laptop I have:

So HP doesn't have the battery for sale themselves?  Okay, I guess I will have to find another source.  I still don't understand why this battery has failed within a year of purchasing the laptop.  Makes me think twice about buying another one.

If it is within a year, then the warranty will cover the replacement for free.

Check your warranty status Here.

HP will provide the shipping label and the cost. All you have to provide is the box to safely ship it in.

Unfortunately the battery died 2 weeks after the warranty expired.   Didn't think I would need an extended warranty for a HP product, but I guess I should have bought one...

HP does sell batteries for their laptops, but the pricetag far  for one direct from HP exceeds what you will pay for a battery that has the same warranty in the open market.

I personally prefer to mind my checkbook balance and go the open market route.
