Hello I have an HP Stream 11. I’ve had it for less than two years and I have hardly used it at all. I haven’t even picked it up in probably close to a year. I tried to plug it in to charge and use today and it’s giving me a million issues that I’ve been trying to resolve for the past few hours.
i plug it in and the battery light will blink white. For the most part it stays blinking white, but Sometimes it’ll be solid orange then switch to solid white then the light goes away completely. So I’ll unplug and plug it back in, same thing - solid orange then to blinking white. On the battery icon it says 0% (plugged in) and it has not changed for over 2 hours that it’s been charging. At first i had it charging for about 30-45 mins and it wouldn’t turn on. Then it does turn on but gives me a CMOS error, saying press ENTER to reboot. So I did. Then it works and let’s me sign in. I’ve gotten the CMOS error a couple times now. Conveniently I can’t get on the phone with anyone because the warranty is expired, even though I’ve literally only had it for less than two years.
i can’t update the two drivers it’s saying are available to update because the battery won’t charge. I can’t update anything else, even though there is 10+ things it says need to be updated, because every time I click “download” it either does nothing or tells me to restart, which i do, and then it takes me back to the same cycle of nothing happening.
i need help and I’m getting very frustrated. I’ve been trying to fix this for hours and You would think HP would offer better solutions, considering they’re one of the biggest tech companies out there. But no, you have to pay to get immediate help over the phone where it’s easier to resolve. I need to fix this please, it’s not even 2 yrs old….
