HP Stream 11 Pro G4 EE Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The BIOS update for the HP Stream 11 Pro G4 EE Notebook PC numbered F.18 Rev.A claims to provide a "fix" described below.  This is not a detail. We have thousands of these units that don't have this BIOS update yet and they are already running 1809.  Can you provide more details on what this actually means?  Something informative rather than obscure.

- Provides support for Windows 10 v1809.

HP does not share that kind of specific information with the Experts here so all we can really advise is that this BIOS update must be there to better support the v1809 upgrade. Is there some reason you would prefer not to install it? Obviously it is not a prerequisite to upgrading to v. 1809 but what would HP have to tell you it does before you would be persuaded to install it?

My supervisor asked me to find this information.

I believe any new units we deploy, and as needed, we will upgrade units, but as mentioned we have over 4000 units of this model currently running 1809.  I think I was sent to determine if we need to have our team focus on upgrading all of these units or not.

It's a shame I cannot get more valuable information about a BIOS update than it supports a version of Windows it already supported.

Thank you for your answer Huffer and have a great day!
