I have a Stram 14 and of course running out of space quite quickly.
I connected a USB 1TB hd just to keep documents and stuff.
At some point, looking to expand disk space, I stumbled upon an option that seemed to enable the internal SD to "pair" with another unit. Since the option clearly specified that by proceeding I would be erasing all of the data on my external disk, I dismissed it willing to go back to it once I bought an addictional SD.
Inserted the new SD but now I can't seem to recall what that option was nor how to get there again.
Any hint?
I cannot even run Windows update because got no space left in internal storage.

Hello, @Gemma_R - Greetings!
Thanks for reaching out! I'd like to help 🙂
Going through your post, I am not sure that you can "pair" the SD card with another unit. You can certainly install the SD card and move the older files to the SD card to free up space on your hard drive, but you cannot move the Windows programs or updates to the SD card.
Here is another thread discussing the similar issue: http://hp.care/2vLEVBo
Hope that helps!
Cheers 🙂

Hello, @Gemma_R
As you mentioned, this kind of PC is mainly used for cloud computing.
If I'm not mistaken the disk space is taken mainly by the Windows updates done till now. Even though not a recommended option from Windows, I'd suggest you disable the Windows updates on your PC. This will make sure that the PC has enough space to install few required programs and still keep enough space for better performance.
Let me know if that helps!
Good luck 🙂

Hello, @Gemma_R
I am afraid I am not aware of the option to pair the SD card with an external device.
I'd suggest you contact the HP phone support for further assistance or service options.
HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true
(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.
(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
If you have any troubles, let me know and I will do my best to help!
Thank you!
