Hi, I have recentely being given this laptop and I have had to install everything from scratch since they gave it to me with no data (at all).
I have thus installed the HDD I had in my previous machine (another HP) and I am trying to update all the drivers to the right ones.
I can't find and automated way to do it. I can't download and run the HP support assistance or something that will scan this laptop and download the right set of drivers for it.
Can anyone help me with this? Point me to where I can download the drivers or the assistance?
Thanks,

I suggest that should it be available, that you only update the BIOS manually, that is, not using HP Support Assistant.

How to install BIOS Updates:
Always connect the computer to AC Power and leave the power connected during the entire BIOS update procedure.
Select the option to manually install the BIOS update.

That said,
HP Support Assistant can be downloaded from its website.
Reminder: HPSA is an "update" tool - it will not find and install any software / drivers that are not already on the machine.
