I have a HP Thunderbolt Dock 120 G4 connected to HP Elitebook 840 G9. The connection between them is lost sometimes without touching the cable that connects to the docking station and the computer, and always disconnected when touching the cable connected them. The USB Type C (Thunderbolt) connector from the computer seems to be working fine, since I am able to connect to a HP E27k G5 USB-C monitor without any issues.
So is it normal for the HP Thunderbolt Dock 120 G4 cable that sensitive? Should I ask HP to replace the docking cable? It is under warranty. Or is it something I can do to fix it?
The problem does not occur when it is band new.
