HP Thunderbolt Dock 280W G4 w/Combo Cable with HP ZBook G3, Nvidia Quatro M1000M driver.
Unlocking computer causes a BSOD forced shutdown and reset due to:
SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
What Failed: nvlddmkm.sys
I had updated dock firmware, and all drivers noted from HP Support on the ZBook G3. My IT group rolled back drivers - didn't help. Reinstalled updated drivers. Problem persists.

Can you explain in detail what you mean by "unlocking the computer"?
"nvlddmkm.sys" is an NVIDIA driver issue.
Does the "nvlddmkm.sys" failure also happen when the laptop is run without the Thunderbolt dock plugged into it?

I am using the HP Zbook G3 Thunderbolt dock with my Zbook 15 G3 with nary a problem. However, you have to make sure it shows up in the Thunderbolt control center and the Thunderbolt settings in the BIOS have to be right. It has been a while since I set mine so please check how you have your set and let me know and I will let you know if it is right

Unlocking meaning using the pin, fingerprint reader or password to open the desktop from the lock screen.
The issue does not happen is the dock is disconnected, but will immediately force shutdown the laptop if you plus the dock into the laptop usb-c / thunderbolt port.
I have tried 3 or 4 different Nvidia drivers to try and fix the issue, but none of the current availible drivers corrected the issue.
