HP Thunderbolt Dock G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have

HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 ( ), updated to the latest firmware (1.0.62), with dual 4k monitors ( AOC U2790PQU - HDMI 1.4 x 1, HDMI 2.0 x 1, DisplayPort 1.2 x 1 )

This dock support dual 4K@60Hz via :

1x ( DisplayPort port OR USB-C video) and 1x Thunderbolt port

How should I connect my monitor to the dock - via the Thunderbolt port?

There is plenty of cables , but these cables support 'USB C port (*DP Alt Mode)' which means, this really isn't a Thunderbolt cable.

@Klemenn

Did you check the compatible list against your machine ? The dock is compatible with the following machines

            HP Elite X2 1012 G1, G2; HP Pro X2 612 G2; HP EliteBook Folio G1; HP EliteBook X360 1030 & 1020 G2; HP EliteBook 1040 G4; HP EliteBook 800, 700 G5; HP ProBook 600 G4, 400 G5; ZBook 14u/15u G5.

If yes, please use pp 4-5 of the following document to connect monitors to the right ports on the dock.

Hi,

ok, maybe I need to be a little bit more specific regarding my question :

How can I connect my ThunderBolt port (on dock) with my monitor - which (what kind) of cable do I need?
