I have a HP thunderbolt G2 dock with combo cable, always used for my HP laptop. Now I got a new laptop for work (still using my HP for private), and it's a DELL with Thunderbolt USB-C ports.

Docking has its tipical USB-C + power cable (thunderbolt cable). If I switch it to a HP Thunderbolt 3 Power Cable for Docking (843011-001) can I then work with both my HP and Dell on this docking?

Thanks!

My HP is a ZBook 14u G5, so no problem there.

New computer is Dell Latitude 7340.

My roommate's laptop is an Asus Vivobook Go E1504FA-NJ179W, I thought no possibility on connecting this one to it.

Current cable; 3XB95AA

Thanks!
