HP USB C Dock G5 does not connect to HP 255 G8 4P2S1ES
There is no power supply to the laptop from the docking station.
Monitors are not connected.
Only network cable and USB work

Sorry NO, they are NOT compatible and the HP 255 g8 machines won't be able to connect to USB-C docks because they only have (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C 5 Gbps signaling rate (data transfer only; charging or external monitors not supported). which is a hopeless USB-C port,

This is extremely sad news. Considering that the laptop costs like an airplane wing.
