Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi HP community.

I have a G5 USB-C Dock & HP Envy 17 m7-u109dx question.  The laptop has an older USB-C plug that doesn't allow for charging but should be compatible with the Dock.  I have two older monitors that connect fine, an Acer S271HL monitor that does fine when plugged in directly to the HDMI port to the laptop, and an HP W2071d monitor as well.

When these monitors are plugged into the Dock and the Laptop to the Dock, there is no Display on the monitors.  The laptop works fine.  What's more, the sound / audio from the laptop does play onto speakers connected to the Dock, so the USB-C is transmitting something for sure.

I have an MSI laptop with a USB-C that when plugged in, does display both monitors just fine.

I've checked drivers for the Dock, Graphics cards, monitors.  Any thoughts?  Thanks very much.

The specs of your machine is

        https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05333540

which shows it has 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only) port which does not give video out with or without a dock/hub. To be able to get video out the USB-C port,

For USB-C™ functionality, host PC must support the DisplayPort™ Alt mode protocol through its USB-C™ port and your machine does NOT have that port.

Regards.
