Hello all,
I have an HP USB-C Universal Dock and an older Microsoft Surface Pro 3 (2012). The Surface Pro 3 does not have a USB-C port, but it has USB-A ports. Can I use the HP USB-C dock with the Surface Pro 3 using a USB C to USB A adapter? I'd like to be able to switch between two computers by unplugging the dock from one and into another without having to buy a KVM switch, if possible.
Thanks in advance!

This is a question I have never seen in the forum.
I would certainly give it a try. It shouldn't break anything.
If the dock is externally powered, be sure to use its power adapter.
