It might work and then again maybe not.
I know that sounds like a waffling response, but that is the information that we have gotten from the subject matter experts.
Generally, if a laptop is meant to be charged with a power adapter that has a USB type-C output, it will be delivered with one.
If it is delivered with a power adapter that has a barrel type smart pin plug, that is what should be used to avoid any risk of damaging a laptop.
My 2019 Spectre x360 13t-ap069 was delivered with a power adapter that has a USB type-C output and that is what I use.
I suggest that you not be persuaded by what seems to be a fad and not risk damaging your laptop. Stick with the specifications
