Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (599K0AV)

When buying this laptop I assumed it would be 144hz because of the other specs but display hz was not mentioned on the amazon tab so I was somewhat disappointed when I came to know it was 60hz.

Could I upgrade the laptops display from 60hz to 144hz? If so where would I get the display part and how would I go about getting it replaced. Or is it more logical to return the laptop and get the 144hz option? I bought the current laptop on sale for roughly 750$

The 144hz panel part number is:

UWVA, 250 nits, 144 Hz N13295-001

HP Parts Store does not have the panel to order. You can, however, find it on eBay for $150:

If you can do the labor yourself, this is the way to go. A technician is going to charge you a few hundred bucks labor. So if you have to have the work done you are likely better off returning the one you have if you can and buying the 144hz version. Any more questions I'm happy to try to answer.
