HP victus 15 (5CD33710QT)

Recently, the right hinge of the laptop broke during the normal action of opening the lid. The laptop has always been handled with care and has never been dropped or damaged. The plastic chassis around the hinge has cracked and is separating, making the laptop difficult to close and unsafe to open further.

After doing some research, it is overwhelmingly clear that this is a widespread and well-documented manufacturing defect affecting this specific model line. A search on these very HP Community forums, as well as on platforms like Reddit and YouTube, shows countless other customers reporting the exact same failure on the right hinge. This is not a case of wear and tear, but an apparent design flaw in the hinge assembly.

I have already contacted official HP Support via chat (Case ID: [5148080245] ). Unfortunately, my request for a repair was repeatedly denied on the grounds that the laptop is out of its standard warranty period.1000069075.jpg
