I have been using the HP Victus 15 and another non-HP laptop with a HP G5 dock and 2 monitors. However every 2-3 days the Victus laptop fails to recognize the displays through the dock and keeps doing so until I reinstall BIOS a few times. Windows either detects no display or gives the notification "display connection might be limitted". This eventually goes away after updating the BIOS 3/4 or however many times it takes to recognize the diplays through the dock again. This is for version ROM version 8C2F. However during this process the dock works flawlessly with other laptops - basically its not a G5 dock problem. This issue is very frustrating and would love to hear from the support community to see weather this is an HP hardware/driver flaw and what I can do about it.

The HP USB-C G5 dock and the HP Victus 15-fb2000 are NOT compatible.
Regards.

I'm not trying to use the dock for charging, just as USB and Dual Display hub. I have power connected separately as thats pretty clearly not supported. Is it still "NOT" compatible? I am currently using it in the "NOT" compatible mode per your response. I'm trying to understand why it is not compatible according to you and yet works.
The Victus 15 I own explicitly supports display's over USB-C, and the dock is suppose to do just that. So whats the issue here? Is there a bug in Victus hardware/firmware that causes a sudden loss of display connectivity over USB-C? Please elaborate?
