Question regarding my laptop's RAM slot 1: whenever I remove the default DDR4 8GB 3200MHz Samsung RAM and replace it with the new DDR4 Kingston Fury 16GB 3200MHz RAM, my laptop won't power up. The power button just lights up, and the caps lock button just keeps blinking. I've tried putting the default DDR4 8GB 3200MHz Samsung RAM on slot 2, but it's still the same. I have two DDR4 Kingston Fury 16GB 3200MHz RAMs and tried putting them both in slots 1 and 2, with the same result.

I've read somewhere in Google that maybe the reason why is because slot 1 will only accept Samsung RAM. Is that why?

Basically, my laptop powers on when I use the Samsung 8GB RAM and the Kingston 16GB on slot 2, but when I put a Kingston 16GB on slot 1 and another Kingston 16GB on slot 2, my laptop won't power on, and the power button just lights up and the caps lock just keeps blinking. I also tried putting the Samsung 8GB RAM on slot 2 and the Kingston 16GB RAM on slot 1, and the results were the same if I put two Kingston 16GB RAM on both slots.

I'm very sorry if I'm not making sense. 😭

That is simple : the Kington RAM is NOT compatible with your machine.. Not all RAM sticks are the same..

So, slot 1 is not compatible with the Kingston Fury 16GB 3200MHz, but would it accept a different (other brand or Samsung) RAM stick?

Like, for example, a DDR4 Samsung 16GB 3200MHz, right?
