Hi, My laptop is HP Victus fa1018-nt. And I have 8*8 = 16 total ram in original.

I tried to search my laptop max ram capacity. Sometimes I got the 16GB sometimes I got 32GB total.

I try "wmic memphysical get maxcapacity" command in command promt and I got result as 32GB. Is it true ?

In crucial web site it seems 64gb support for my laptop. So should I try 32 * 32 for my laptop ? Is it safe ?  If it did not work then if it will work when I turn the old ram capacity.

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

HP only has the service manual for the older 15-fa0000 model series available.

pdf_5957172_en-US-1.pdf (hp.com)

According to chapter 1 of that manual the model series has two memory slots and can support 2 x 8 GB of memory.

The Crucial memory report indicates that it will support up to 2 x 32 GB of memory, and the Crucial memory report is almost always correct.

Here's a YouTube video where someone installed 64 GB of memory in the older model 15-fa0032, so your newer model should also support 64 GB of memory.
