Some keys on my HP Victus laptop are typing incorrect characters.
Pressing Delete types 7
Print Screen types 3
Right Arrow types 1
I ran HP Hardware Diagnostics, and it confirmed these mismappings. Is this a hardware issue? What should I do next?

If your HP Victus laptop's keyboard is typing incorrect characters and the issue persists after running HP Hardware Diagnostics, it is likely a hardware issue. Here’s a step-by-step guide to address this problem:
Test the Keyboard:
- Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics to complete a functional test of the keyboard and identify any problems with the hardware.
- Download the latest version of HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- In Windows, search for and right-click HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows, and then select Run as administrator.
- Click Component Tests > Input Devices > Keyboard Test and then click Run once to begin the test.
Check BIOS Settings:
- Shut down the computer.
- Press the power button, and then immediately press the esc key repeatedly to open the Startup Menu.
- Press f10 to open the BIOS settings.
- Press f5 to load the default settings, and then press f10 to accept the changes.
- Restart the computer.
Update Drivers:
- In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
- Click View, and then select Show hidden devices.
- Click the arrow next to Keyboards, right-click the keyboard name, and then click Uninstall to remove the device from Windows.
- Remove all devices in the Keyboards category, and then restart the computer.
Check for Filter Keys:
- In Windows, search for Accessibility, and then select Keyboard.
- Disable the Use Filter Keys option.
- Clear the checkbox for Allow the shortcut key to start Filter Keys.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
