Hi @rushabhrk
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thanks for sharing the details—I'm really sorry you're facing this complete power issue with your HP Victus 15. I know how unsettling it is when your laptop won’t respond at all, especially when you’ve already tried the right steps with care.
Since there are no lights, sounds, or signs of life, let’s walk through a few deeper checks that can help isolate the cause and potentially bring your system back to life:
Step-by-Step Recovery for HP Victus 15 Not Powering On
Perform a Hard Reset (with Battery and AC Removed)
- Disconnect the charger and remove the battery (if removable).
- Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds.
- Reconnect only the charger (leave the battery out for now).
- Try powering on again.
Inspect the Power Adapter and DC Jack
- Even if the charger shows voltage, gently wiggle the connector in the port while watching for any flicker or response.
- If available, try a different compatible HP adapter to rule out intermittent power delivery.
Check for Signs of Life with Minimal Hardware
- Disconnect all peripherals (USB, HDMI, SD card, etc.).
- Remove the RAM, SSD, and any secondary storage.
- Try powering on with just the charger and motherboard connected.
- If the system powers on (e.g., fan spin or LED blink), reinstall components one at a time to isolate the fault.
Reset the Embedded Controller (EC)
- Some HP laptops support EC reset via a pinhole or keyboard combo:
- Look for a small pinhole labeled “Reset” on the bottom panel—press it gently with a paperclip for 5–10 seconds.
- If no pinhole, try holding Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 10–15 seconds, then release both.
Inspect for Internal Battery or RTC Issues
- If the laptop uses an internal RTC battery (not always visible), a fault here can block power-on.
- If you're comfortable opening the back panel, disconnect the main battery and look for a small coin-cell battery or RTC connector. Disconnect it for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try powering on.

If none of these steps bring any response—no LED, no fan spin, no charging light—it may indicate a board-level fault such as a failed power IC or embedded controller. But I’d recommend exhausting these checks first, especially the EC reset and minimal hardware boot.
Let me know how the system responds after trying these steps. I’ll be here to guide you further based on what you observe.
