WIRELESS MOUSE 200 G3K
macOS 12.0 Monterey

I recently bought an HP wireless mouse 200 G3K ( M200 ) for my MacBook Air and it worked fine until last night. It just stopped. With the USB dongle transmitter inserted, the mouse refuses to move the screen pointer. I noticed that it didn't stop suddenly, but it was a gradual sort of stopping ( ie as I moved the mouse, the screen pointer would move, stop, move, stop etc until it finally stopped moving. ) I connected the M200 to both my Android phone and my Windows laptop and it works fine. I have a backup generic wireless mouse which I set up on the MacBook Air and it works fine. The MacBook Air just seems to now reject the M200 mouse and I don't know why.**

I have tried everything that I know*** to get this M200 to work again with the MacBook Air but to no avail. I tried to get support from HP but the website keeps rejecting the M200 serial number, the HP product list drop down menus**** don't list this mouse and the categories for posting the problem with this particular HP product on the HP Community Forum doesn't exist either so this post is a last resort.

I really hope that someone can help me with this.

MACBOOK AIR DETAILS :

Model : MacBook Air ( 11-inch, Early 2015 )

OS : MacOS Monterey v12.4

FOOTNOTES :

** The mouse is still in warranty so I could get it replaced, however, this would be only if it didn't work across different OS like Android or MS Windows but as mentioned, it works fine on both these OS. Just not IOS.

*** Including resetting the MacBook Air Bluetooth system and updating the OS to the latest standard.

**** I had to resort to posting in the "Notebook Hardware And Upgrade Questions" category and ticking the "Select a product that I do not own" box in order to post the mouse model description.
