I purchased the HP Extended Warranty Care Package before my device expired, but the warranty says expired and I don't know how to update the information.

Hi @NathanAM,

I'd like to help!

I understand your computer warranty is not been updated.

Check your warranty details using the HP Customer Support - Product Warranty Check website.

  1. Find, and then note the serial number for your HP notebook or tablet. For detailed steps, go to Finding the Serial Number.

  2. Go to the Product Warranty Check website.

  3. Select the country/region where the computer was purchased, type your serial number, and then click Check Warranty .

The HP Product Warranty Check webpage displaying the country/region of purchase and serial number entry fields

  4. Review the warranty status details for your product.

Submit a product warranty status dispute

If you think the product warranty details from the Product Warranty Check website are incorrect, submit a dispute.

  1. From the HP Product Warranty Check results for your product, click Dispute this to display the Warranty validation form.

    NOTE:

If the dispute link does not display, the product might be a commercial product, which cannot be disputed online.

Message with Dispute this link highlighted

  2. Type your contact information, and then select a Dispute reason.

  3. If prompted to upload the proof of purchase, click Choose File, and then double-click the proof of purchase file to upload it.

    NOTE:

Make sure the file does not exceed 2 MB and is an acceptable digital file format: .bmp, .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpg, .png, .pdf, or .zip.

  4. Click Dispute warranty.

HP reviews the warranty status for your product and contacts you after the review.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
