Hello,
When I run the firmware update, I receive an error about the cables not being properly set up.
Message is: Please attach a USB cable from the HP HP Z27k G3 to your system and try again.
Any ideas?

Hi.
Now that wasn't so difficult, was it?
"I am using a Zenith II Extreme Alpha motherboard. It doesn't have display capability on the ports."
I just looked at the manual for the motherboard.
Unfortunately, the USB type-c ports are Gen 2 and that is likely to be the reason that updating the firmware is not working.
It is unfortunate that the ports are not Thunderbolt 3 or 4 USB Type-C. Those would be ports that would work.
You are going to have to ignore the popups from the HP Display Center.

It would help if you explained how the device is setup.
What type of PC is connected to which port on the display.
Why not follow the error message recommendation and connect a USB Type-C cable between the PC and the display?
It will not update if you are using a displayport or HDMI connection.

Hello Erico,
Thank you for your response.
Yes, I have tried the USB-C to USB-C, and it doesn't show an available update.
My configuration is a dual-screen RTX A4000 graphics card on a Thread Ripper 3970x system with an extra dual RTX 4090. The screens are on the A4000.
However, The screens are different models, with one being the HP Z32k G3 and the other being the HP U32.
Below is the result after installing the software. Then, it cycles me back to the app with nothing to select.

Unless you connect the display to a video card that has a Thunderbolt Gen 3 or 4 USB Type-C port or to a motherboard backplane USB Type-C port that has display port capability, also Thunderbolt Gen 3/4, you will not have any success.
Why is it that you want to update the firmware?
Updating firmware just because you want to, when a display or motherboard of a PC is operating as expected, is not the best of plans.

Well, the HP Display Center keeps sending me pop-ups to update the firmware.
So you are saying I should ignore it?
