Hi there,
I've recently purchased the HP Z5000 Bluetooth mouse. I am often switching between two computers throughout the day, and I was hoping that I could simply "disconnect" the mouse from one computer and "connect" it to the next one when I needed to swap (and that by turning off the first computer, this would disconnect it automatically).
However, what currently happens is:
-I pair and connect the mouse with Computer 1 (and everything is working fine)
-I turn off computer 1
-I pair and connect the mouse with Computer 2 (and everything works fine on computer 2)
-I turn off computer 2 and turn computer 1 back on
-The mouse is not able to connect to computer 1, even if I go to the bluetooth settings and try and connect it. In this case, I have to go to my bluetooth settings, unpair the mouse (by forgetting the device) and then start the pairing process again (by getting the mouse in pairing mode) to be able to connect the mouse back to computer 1.
Ideally I would want the computer 1 (on the second startup) to be able to pick up the mouse automatically, or at least be able to connect to it without having to unpair and pair the mouse every time.
Does anyone have any good solutions for this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @DbaJ46nP
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region for assistance.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

For anyone else that sees this post in the future:
I got in touch with the HP support team, and they have confirmed that there is no way for this mouse to switch constantly between devices. Each time you need to change a device, you will have to unpair (remove) and repair the mouse with that device.
They have suggested purchasing one of their multi-connection mice on offer as a solution. Considering I have just purchased a mouse, this is not something that I will be doing.
