Hello,
I want to replace my current storage (HDD) of my laptop (HP ZBook 15 G3) with an M2 SSD NVMe (e.g. Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1 TB) but before ordering a SSD I want to make sure that my laptop supports NVMe types.
If I understand correctly the technical specification of this laptop (https://support.hp.com/ro-en/document/c04944564), it supports M2-SATA SSDs, but not NVMe. However, on other forums and youtube videos I saw that some other users are saying that this laptop supports M2-NVMe.
Can you help me with an answer to this question? Does my laptop support an M2-NVMe SSD or not?
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!
Just as your link shows, you should have no problem whatsoever to install an M.2 NVMe Gen3 x4 SSD in your HP ZBook 15 G3 Mobile Workstation: HP - Compaq HP ZBook 15 G3 Mobile Workstation | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com.
You could also use a Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSD, but it will run with Gen3 I/O speeds.
Hope this was helpful.
