My fan constantly picks up speed, then slows down ,then picks up speed again, ... .

Is there a setting to change the minimum time the fan runs once it starts ?

I have the impression the fan stops cooling too soon and then it needs to start again soon after the stop

Hello,

just got the same issue, fan was spinning full speed for no reason, from boot up to shut down.

I went in unpluged the main power, removed the batterie, and also unpluged the bios batterie, wait for a minute

and plug the batterie back in, put the main batterie in and connect the power.

After reboot the bios will be reset and everything was running nice and smooth again.

Best regards, Michael

Had the same type of issue where the fan would spin constantly. This solution works like a charm! Thanks

Remove Service Door (see #6 and 7 for service door latch)

Underneath, you will find the batterie. You need to disconnect it (might need some tool to remove the connector).

Posting an update. It turns out Norton security software was causing the problem. I uninstalled and problem went away.
