I find different specifications about the USB-C port on that machine:
Quickspecs PDF document (c07538129) says:
1 USB Type-C® (Thunderbolt™ 4, pass through support DisplayPort™ 1.4, USB 3.1 Gen 2, with BC 1.2)
says:
USB 3.2 Gen 2
I like to connect the fastest USB drive available that is using USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 with up to 2000 MByte/s.
With USB 3.1 I would not be able to push the limits of that drive, with usual 3.2 Gen 2 neither.
What I wonder about is that actually there is no Thunderbolt 4 as this is passed to the USB standards or should be the same like some of the confusing USB 3.2 standards. TB4 would be enough bandwidth to get to the drive limits. Can anybody outline what is possible with this USB-C port?

I guess you meant the "Maintenance and Service Guide". I have it but can't attach it here.
On page 5 there is nothing said about USB, page 6 tells about USB Type-C but nothing about rates or specifications.
