HP ZBook 15u G6 Mobile Workstation

I saw online [edit] that the Intel i7-9850H is supposedly an option and compatible with the HP Zbook 15U G6. Anyone know if this is true or not? I can't seem to find much information. Any processor upgrade info would be greatly appreciated. My current specs are in my signature below. Thank you in advance!

HP Zbook 15U G6, Intel i7-8565U, 2 TB Hynix P41 Platinum NVMe M.2 SSD, Kingston Fury Impact 32GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM, Radeon Pro WX3200 GPU

Hi lightskinman.

The manual for the HP ZBook 15u G6 Mobile Workstation lists 8th gen Intels as compatible. The manual for the HP ZBook 15 G6 Mobile Workstation (completely different system) lists 9th gen Intels (the one you want is included) as compatible. Somehow I doubt that your system would work with a 9th gen Intel. Unfortunately your online source was edited/erased, but there are bigger problems with a CPU upgrade on these systems than the Intel generation. These machines use BGA CPUs. That means that they're soldered on the motherboard. You can take a look at the specs for your system on this page and see that the processor socket is listed as BGA 1528. This is also evident in the manual on page 61 where the motherboard part numbers are listed and there is a different motherboard for each CPU/GPU combination.
