Product: HP ZBook 15 G5 Mobile Workstation

I have a ZBook 15 G5 and I can't get the thunderbolt ports to recognize any Thunderbolt devices, only USB.  Thunderbolt controller is not showing in device manager.  I recently updated bios to q70 version 01.29.01 09/24/2024, which solved a boot error issue, but now it seems that Thunderbolt is not working.  Not sure if they are related or not.  Thunderbolt 3 mode is enabled in bios and I have tried several of the other tricks like disabling legacy mode, etc.  Any ideas?
