I'm looking for a docking station that connects an HP 15-ba079dx Touch Notebook with a Dell monitor.

Describe the Dell monitor. What kind of inputs does it accept? VGA, HDMI, DVI, etc.?

 

You have an HDMI port directly on the laptop. The only port you have for a dock/port replicator is a single USB 3.0 on the left side. So you need a dock that does DisplayLink translation if a usb connection to video like this:

It's a Dell E2420H monitor. 

All of the wires fit nicely into the j5create docking station, but the docking station itself doesn't fit into the HP laptop. I'll check out this Amazon product. Thank you.

That is a usb-C dock and you have no usb-C port.
