HP au111tx laptop upgrade

Hi, 

I have a HP AU111tx laptop. It is a decent enough laptop for normal use but is really laggy these days. Im into video editing and some hardware intensive stuff lately. Im thinking of upgrading my laptop.

Will adding a 8 GB extra RAM and / or 250 GB SSD improve the lap performance.

Which brand and model will you recommend for the same.

Yes but how much depending on each application. You can add 8GB of RAM more to slot 2 and add 1TB to M.2 slot OR replace 1TB HDD with 2TB 2.5" SSD.

So I can have an SSD and HDD at the same time.. Is that right.? 

I am looking for only a max of 250 GB SSD and the 1TB HDD for storage.

I said add, that means yes.

Because you say you are doing video editing that why I suggest 2TB. 250GB won't help and using external HDD will slow down your work.
