I just bought a cheap laptop, that has eMMC if I upgrade to a larger sd card can I transfer the OS over to it? This has a 64 gb chip. I just bought a 2 TB sd card .. Not here yet, I bought it online. Its a HP Laptop 14 fq0009ca.

Hi:

 

You wouldn't be able to do that because I do not believe that the notebook will boot from a SD card, but if you want to open up the notebook, there is a M.2 slot that supports SATA M.2 SSD's.

 

NVMe SSD's are not supported in the models that come with the 64 GB eMMC drives.

 

You could install a 250 GB, 500 GB or 1 TB SATA M.2 SSD, use that as the boot drive, format the 64 GB eMMC drive and use it for extra storage.

I recommend one of the Western Digital Blue SA510 model M.2 SATA SSD's which have decent read/write speeds:
