Folks, is it possible to upgrade the drive of Chromebook HP chromebook 11-v025wm, 

from emmc to 128Gb Sata SSD? 

 

Any service manual, showing the location of the sata/m2 slot or emmc slot?

Sorry but the only options you have is to use a USB/Flash drive or a micro SD card???

 

And sorry again no manual???

I can't find a Service and Maintenance Guide for this model.

 

HP PartSurfer shows the eMMC as part of the motherboard, implying it is soldered down. There are no storage options listed in PartSurfer. The system appears to consist of a system board, a WLAN card, a display, a camera board, a battery and a few miscellaneous items - there seems to be no scope for upgradability.

Good info. Too bad I thought the drive is upgradeable. I plan on purchasing this model and upgrade the hard drive. 

 

Do you know of any chromebook 11.6  inch model with upgradeable drive? Or the motherboard provide an extra

regular sata or m2 interface?

All HP's Chromebooks currently available to buy in the UK HP Store have 16 or 32GB eMMC. Chrome OS is really built around cloud rather than local storage.

 

I don't know that much about Chromebooks and Chrome OS, so I don't know what is available from other manufacturers. Perhaps you can find a model that supports a micro SD card or use a slimline USB drive.
