Hi,
I would like to ask regarding HP coolsense. I'm aware that not all laptop has been equipped with this technology. To my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) if the laptop did not come with preinstalled software, it means the respective model does not include in the technology.
I just want to make a confirmation since, in the web link below (where I bought my laptop), HP coolsense is part of the preinstalled software. Or, is this a wrong-claimed by HP?

Thank you.

You're very welcome.
W10 does not have Net Framework 3.5 installed by default, but for programs that need it such as Coolsense, you add 3.5 as follows...
Go to the Windows Control Panel>Programs>Turn Windows Features on or off>the window opens...check the first box to install Net Framework 3.5.
Restart the PC and see if you can now install Coolsense.

Hi:
There is no Coolsense software download on your notebook's support page.
The only way you will be able to find out is to install the software, and see if it works.

The specs indicated it should, but yes, the specs could be wrong.

Thank you for your fast reply.
I did try to install before I posted to this forum. When I try to install the HP Coolsense, it will give a notification that I need to install MIcrosoft.NET (version 3.5). However, I fail to install it because it has been preinstalled (version4.0). So, that's why I'm assuming this laptop is not part of HP Coolsense but at the same time, I'm a bit puzzled because of the specifications given on the web.
So, conclusion: HP gave wrong information. That is not cool.

Thank you again Paul_Tikkanen. I did that and this time, there was a popup notification stated that "your hardware is not supported for HP CoolSense". At least, now I know for sure and not wasting my time to figure it out anymore.
This is NOT COOL. HP must be critical when comes to specifications, especially for online buyer.
This is my second laptop within 1 week. I'm already annoyed with a previous crappy laptop and this time, I need to deal with a loud noisy fan and wrong specification.
Anyway, thank you very much Paul_Tikkanen. It is so much appreciated 🙂

Anytime.
Glad to have been of assistance.
You may want to bring this discrepancy to the attention of the HP Executive Team at the link below so they can correct the specifications page for that notebook's model series.
