So I am planning on adding an m.2 ssd into this machine (Pavillion 15-cs0085cl) but there are little info online and I cannot find a manual for this model. I was wondering whether some has some insight on which m.2 models would be compatible with this machine or if someone had a manual to this model or a similar model. Thank you.

Here's the Service Manual:
M.2 in red oval
Start on p. 32 for back cover removal. Be careful with the rubber feet. Try not to stretch them out or it is hard to fit them back in the plastic channels for them.
Your laptop can take a SATA type M.2 or a PCIe/NVME M.2 or can even use an Optane memory module in the M.2 slot.
For best effect you want to install a 2280 form factor PCie/NVME M.2 disk and install Windows onto it. I recommend the Samsung 970 Evo. Its what I use in my own laptop. Yours is an 8th gen Intel Core processor which will take full advantage of the speed, which is a sight to behold.
