I have had this type of issue where my laptop GPU is not showing up in the device manager because what I looked up on the internet shows that this laptop (HP elitebook 840 G5) has a dedicated GPU - RX 540. In the task manager, it only shows Intel UHD Graphics 620.
I have updated all Windows drivers and HP support assistant. It shows everything is up to date. I even downloaded the AMD auto-detect software to detect but could not detect any drivers or GPU in my laptop.
Here are my laptop specs: i7-8650U, 16GB RAM, 500 SSD.
As for my second issue, my CPU seems to get very hot when I am using it normally browsing the internet and running work like Microsoft Office.
I use third-party software like Core Temp to record the temperature of my laptop. When idle, the average temperature is around 55 to 65 degrees Celsius. When I am browsing the internet, the average temperature goes from 70 to 97 degrees Celsius. Sometimes it reaches 100 degrees Celsius. I am not sure if this is normal for this model of laptop.
Recently I changed the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU units and also cleaned all the dust inside the laptop. Unfortunately the problem seems to be the same. Nothing has changed and the temperatures are still high.
Your help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi @Vivian888
These models are not all sold with this dedicated graphic, you should ask for it to be installed at the time of sale, they are devices that should be customized by the seller. If you want to know if your device came with dedicated graphics enter the following link, type in your serial number (s/n), and take note of the motherboard part number and compare it in the service manual.
Service Manual on page 25, see if the motherboard part number is UMA or dedicated graphics,
