HP envy 15t-j100 i4702mq upgarade SSD 2.5" but sata 6gb/s not support, I upgrade ssd for old hdd, samsung 860 evo 500gb but samsung magican report sata 3gb/s and i check some hard drive software for info laptop used sata 3gb/s not support sata 6gb/s. this is right? cause i check speed ssd 280mb/s

Hi,

Yes, I believe it has a 3Gb/s port on it as the drives that came in it where 3Gb/s drives.

Anyway, the SSD will still be much faster than a regular HDD.

Hi,

It is not possible, as the controllers are on the motherboard.

You could check the actual ports with software such as SiSoftware to see SATA interface

I don't know, HP Elitebook Folio 9470M  i7-3687U support sata III 6gb/s. my laptop hp envy 15t i7 4702mq support only sata II 3gb/s ? why not ? please help
