Hello,
I have a HP envy ch0578ng that is getting slow while using the oriignal HP usb-c charger.
It's easy to see the impact during playing a game. When I plugin the charger I get lacks all 10 seconds if I remove it or use the normal AC charger everything is fine.
I'm using the HP M52944-001 65W charger.
System runs Windows 11 on Bios F.13.
Somebody else had this problem and maybe a solution?
Thanks !

What do you mean by "use the normal AC charger"?
Since your notebook was delivered with a power adapter that was delivered with a barrel connector to plug into a DC-in port on the notebook that is what you should use.
In conversation with HP subject Matter Experts and reviewing HP's documentation on the subject, the answer as to whether a notebook that has USB3.1 Type-c port can use a USB type-C power adapter is maybe, not a definitive yes or no.
You now know that with your specific notebook, there are issues.
You have a choice of either accepting the limitation you have found or using the OEM adapter the notebook was delivered with.
Check the power specifications on the original power adapter closely. Do they match the power specifications on the HP USB Type-C power adapter? Your notebook may have a 90W requirement instead of 65W.

Sure the laptop was delivered with an 65w AC charger , anyway this device supports official charging via usb-c thunderbolt 4 port and it's listed as compatible in the specification of the HP usb-c charger I purchased from HP store.
And sure I now that there are issues now but the question is why and sorry but if HP sells a device marked ad compatible with usb-c charging and with this charger then it should work .
Tested it additional with an Ugreen 100w 20v 5a power delivery 3.0 supply and got same result.
Guess there is an bug in the firmware or something
